Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager
Job Location: Meadville, PA office
Job Duties:
- Design and specification of combustion system and emission controls, electric generation & distribution, heat distribution (steam and hot water), and system controls for Combined Heat and Power and/or District Heating projects
- Biomass, solar thermal, wind, solar PV, natural gas, fuel oil, and coal
- Engineering evaluation of building or system energy efficiency
- Development of engineering cost estimates and life-cycle cost analyses for CHP and district heating projects
- Project management for feasibility studies, project design, permitting, bid document development or review, and construction oversight
- Presentations to clients
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from ABET accredited school
- Professional Engineering license is a plus, but not required
- Thorough knowledge of combustion and emission control technologies and steam and hot water distribution
- Thorough knowledge of electrical generation and distribution
- Working knowledge of mechanical codes and field construction practices
- Competence with drafting software is required
